Week One: Journal of Interest

The Journal of Interest (JOI) is simply where you write about something that you find interesting. It could be about a film, football, books, fashion, your lunchbox collection, an event, a highly debated topic, etc. It is not a summary of the topic. I do not need to know every event that happened in the new Harry Potter movie. It is a journal entry that reveals your interests and lets you ramble on about a topic. Explain why you think Ron Weasly is so hot. You could rant about how much you love or hate the news media's coverage of Michael Jackson death. Or write about the pimple puss collection you keep under your pillow. Again, it is not a summary but an exploration of the topic. Do not fear grammar and spelling for it is a journal entry Although, it is an opportunity to practice those skills.
